Nice basic swimsuit for actual swimming. Seems to run a bit small/tight so go up a size if you aren't sure. Looks and feels good, just what you need for doing a few laps in the water. Our daughter used this suit this summer for swim team practice and it held up great. She liked the thicker straps on her shoulders so that the material doesn't cut so much into her skin. The coverage on this suit is better than most swim team suits.I got this for my teen who is not on a swim team but likes the modesty and comfort a suit like this offers (straps don't slide off). She's 5'9", 130lb and usually wears a women's medium. I got her the 34. I probably should have gone with the 36.She loves the color and says it's comfortable but a bit tighter than a normal suit. This swimsuit is likely designed for girls/women who compete on a swim team, but I got it for one who is uncomfortable in skimpy swimsuits and wants something more modest to ensure she has no "wardrobe malfunctions" while in the pool. This suit is perfect for her because it has a practical, modest yet sporty cut but the fabric is so fun with its modern squiggly print. The suit fits like a glove, and we love that the legs are not cut too high, while the racerback ensures the straps will not slip down no matter how many times she jumps into the water from the high dive or falls off her skis while in the lake. The fabric is stetchy for a great fit all around. I am sure chlorine is not kind to the fabric, so we always hand wash this suit in Woolite and cold water, then hang it up to air dry.Sizing is fairly accurate; we followed the chart linked in the listing, which breaks these numbered sizes down by bust, waist and hip measurements. Be sure to check the chart, as I assumed the numbered sizes referred to bust measurement, and while they are in the nieghborhood, they do not actually match up. For example, the size 28 I ordered is designed to fit a woman with a 30-31 inch bust. So check the chart while also keeping in mind that competition suits like this one are designed to fit more tightly than fashion swimsuits.Overall this is a great suit that is well made, stretchy for a great fit, and has a sporty, practical cut for modesty paired with a fun modern print that gives it some youthful pizazz. This suit is a quality practice suit with bright coloring and modest coverage. I do find that it appears smaller than other suits of the same size in the same brand. Not sure if this is the cut or style of this Maxfit line compared to Tyr's other lines, but it definitely runs smaller- so keep that in mind. This swimsuit is very high quality, has a nice cut and fit, and is well designed for someone who wants a one-piece swimsuit for lap swimming or training. The quality of the suit is essentially what you would expect from a reputable brand like TYR at this price point.I don't like suits that are too skimpy, so I thought this seemed like a good compromise. Modest cut? Yes. Cute print? Yes. Nice quality? Yes. Sized right? Nooooooooooo. I am a 36DD/DDD and ordered a 38, despite the sizing chart recommending a 34. I usually size up for my girls. I can't comfortably fit in this. It might be how I'm proportioned - but it's not for the busty gals among us. I gave this away to a friend who is super petite.I really like the shape and style of this swimsuit. It's a little tight in places, I ordered a 34 and should have ordered a 36 just for comfort. This suit is fully lined front and back with a soft black material.
