So, these are definitely a tad LARGER than I expected. When the capacity said "1.5 lbs", I thought perhaps that was a typo.Nope. Not a typo. So, 1 lb is 16 ounces, so 1.5 lbs means these glasses will hold a max of 24 ounces.A 750 ml bottle of wine is 25.36 ounces. So...if you open a regular bottle of wine, and take a good slug out of it...the rest will fit in a single glass. Wow. Lets just say they can also make for impromptu brandy snifters if you're in a bit of a bind.I found the quality of the glass to be nice and thin and well made. They make claims of being "break resistant".I'm not sure exactly how, or even if, I should test that. Lets just say they claim to be break resistant, and leave it at that, shall we?So here's what I took a star off for. The stupid stickers on every. Single. Glass. Really? Yeah...I could have done without that experience. Thanks. REALLY appreciate that. No. Really. Could have done COMPLETLEY without it. Forever. And would have been fine. So, in all honesty...isn't it high time you started drinking your wine from something other than dixie cups, red cups, or just out of the bottle in a paper sack sitting beneath a street light on some dark street in a seedy neighborhood? Yes. Of course it is. And wouldn't you like to have enough wine glasses...for FREINDS? Yes. Of course you would. Don't let the fact that you can nearly stuff a whole bottle of wine in 1 cup deter you from buying these. In fact, it's a selling point! Know why?It means they'll have to bring their OWN wine.Hey. You gave them a glass, right?I like em. They're big. They're nice. But I sure wish they didn't come with stickers on em. I recommend warming them with a wee flame first to soften the glue. If any leave residue, rubbing alcohol works well.4 of 5, -1 for the annoying stickers. Nice glasses, and I recommend them, aside from that.I will say that I love the look and feel of these glasses. They are the nicest wine glasses I've ever owned.Having said that, these glasses are huge! From my perspective, I find them comically large: over 9 inches tall, nearly an inch taller than my rather large Reidel glasses. That means they are nearly a foot tall. Perhaps the idea is that with a larger glass, you can get more wine in the glass without it seeming like you have a lot of wine.Perhaps bigger = more elegant. Perhaps if I liked to get dressed up in formal wear, these big ol' Lenox glasses would be the perfect match for my fancy clothes. But I prefer shorts, sandals, a t-shirt, and much smaller and more casual wine glasses. These wine glasses are great quality! They are made from lead-free crystal. The thickness of glass is even and free of ripples. Lenox is a well established brand with a great reputation. The volume of these wine glasses is perfect for big red wines that need some room to breath. We both really like these wine glasses. It's an excellent set of 12, so that's enough for those large dinner parties we never have. However, if we did have larger dinner parties, we'd have enough glasses.Actually, my husband breaks glasses fairly often which is why I decided to just get the set of 12. We're constantly replacing glasses. He used to go through them so fast we used to carve out part of our Saturday to go to Goodwill to see if there were any decent ones for a dollar. However, at some point we stopped doing that, and we just get 'em on Amazon. These are beautifully shaped with medium long stems. The stems are fairly sturdy, too--- which is a good things for those of you who may be less gentle than others. on the other hand, I prefer the look of the longer graceful stems. No matter, really-- they're beautiful glasses and since we want them to last and maybe even pass on to our kids, a little thicker is better. Also, they're made in Czech Republic, known for their quality crystal-- nice change from getting every single thing we order from that other place. They are stamped Lenox in very small letters at the edge of the base. They feel good in your hand and don't feel so thin and delicate that they'll break if you put them down a touch too hard.Wine looks beautiful in them.Nice glasses. And, although we don't have dinners for 12, we do have guests and we'll finally have some matching glasses.Recommended.This is a really great productTHE GOOD!-really great quality-great value and price!-package with love & care-these are so strong and easy to wash/care for. dishwasher safe, high quality and such a timeless brand!!!THE BAD :(-absolutely nothing!OVERALL!-I highly recommend this product and will continue buying this product whenever I need something similar again! Trusted product and brand!- these are big size glasses- lightweight and thin- glasses looks clean and well made . Quality is definitely good- I like that these are dishwasher safe . Easy to maintainThese glasses come carefully packaged, six per box. The glasses are the large bowl style and they are about 9 1/2 inches tall overall. They have that nice ring to them when tapped with a fingernail. The molding mark on the stems is visible and easily felt with your fingers, but it is unobtrusive and does not detract from the quality of the glasses. The glasses are a height that makes storage a problem for my kitchen. The Amazon product page did not state the height of the glasses, so I was somewhat disappointed when I saw how tall they were. If you have the room to store these, they are great wine glasses for the price.Lenox is known for quality products. These wine glasses do not disappoint. You get 18 glasses ( 3 boxes of 6 glasses). They are larger glasses that are lightweight and quality glass. I'm not a fan of wine glasses that are thick. These are not. They enhance the wine. They are about the same height as my other glasses so I don't have any problem with storage. I'm pretty particular about my wine glasses and I have to say I love these! I think they are a good price for the quality and the amount of glasses you get.
