Description

Kyocera's Limited LTD Cutlery Series, offering a hand-crafted Pakka wood handle with a hand-finished blade, echoing the true traditional style of Japanese cutlery, made in Japan. Inspired by the traditional Japanese craftsmanship, Kyocera developed a knife that reflects Japanese culture and heritage. Hand- crafted by expert artisans in Seki Japan, the unique handle shape is not commonly used due to the fact that it is time consuming to produce. This style handle provides a natural, ergonomic feeling, contoured to the palm and ultimately enhancing the cutting performance. Zirconia 206: Kyocera's proprietary advanced ceramic. This translates to a stronger, denser blade that holds an edge longer than other ceramic knives. A high-performance knife for everyday tasks like chopping herbs, dicing and slicing meats. Perfect for the home cook, this knife will be used daily, quickly becoming a favorite in the kitchen. Ideal for fruits, vegetables and boneless meats. Lifetime Complimentary Sharpening: Kyocera will sharpen your knives back to a factory new edge. 10 for shipping and handling will sharpen as many Kyocera knives as you own. Hand wash with soap & water.

I love the feel and quality of the wooden handles. Wanted something that would measure up to my decades-old Ming Tsai Kyocera chef’s knife, these are it.I've had ceramic knives before and they've never really been all that impressive to me. I'm not going to talk about the pros and cons of ceramic knives, in general, to keep the review short. I'm going to talk about these knives in particular. I hesitated to spend that much money on them for a long time because I didn't think they'd be worth it, plus you can't put wood handles in the dishwasher. I went ahead and pulled the trigger and here are my findings.- They are insanely sharp out of the box. I could shave my arm with them. They have also stayed that sharp through several months of heavy use.- They are as light as a feather. I know ceramic is lighter than steel, but these are ULTRA light.- They're very well put together with attractive blades and handles, and they fit well in the hand- They have a lifetime sharpness guarantee, meaning if they ever need to be sharpened, you can send them in and Kyocera will do it for you, kind of like CutcoI'm a bit of a knife snob and I've found VERY few knives I would recommend but I absolutely, 100% recommend these knives. I'd give them 6 stars if I could.I really like the feel of the handle in my hands and the blades cut meat and veggies amazingly well. These are my first ceramic knives and I'm still getting to know them; but so far, my only concern (the star lost) was that they specifically say, 'Don't cut the cheese'. Sure my wife and friends say it too but they also lost stars and that's why my dog is my favorite -- but I digress. The black blades and handles give a Great lookI’d bought a set for home use 2 years ago and they are still super sharp. I bought this set as a Christmas gift for our granddaughter. Only drawback is you must hand wash.handsome sharp easy to use knives anyone would LOVE to useExcellent. Highly recommend
