Moen 6810 Method One-Handle Low Arc Bathroom Faucet - Chrome Finish - Single Hole Installation - Perfect for Modern Bathroom Vanities & Powder Rooms

For some reason I did not notice that the listing for this item did not give the spout length and I bought it finding out that it's very short and would not work with my sink. If you are using this for an undermount sink, beware the hole you make must be very close to the bowl. I am sad to have to send these back, they are awesome!Great Customer Service.I called them out of frustration because the faucet was totally useless (see below). I wanted to let the "engineering" dept of the major fault (plastic threads). Upon hearing that the faucet was unusable, the rep. immediately said she would overnight the aerator to me. Arrived less than 20 hours later. I'm changing the stars to 4. Still short but have gotten used to it.Extension from the installation to the bowl - MARGINAL.I know I'll break a glass trying to fill it as the spout doesn't extend nearly as far as it should from the back of the sink. An inch or two too short from the center of the sink.Very attractive & functional thus far.After 1 week I asked my wife if she wanted to replace it. She said, "No"I'll update once she breaks a glass.An update 2-3 years later. Still looks very good.They supplied A CHEAP PLASTIC AERATOR with plastic threads. Very easy to strip the threads because you need their special tool to place it up into the faucet. You do this by feel only. I stripped the threads which is very easy to do. The faucet is now USELESS until I can receive a new aerator. Faucet leaks very badly under the sink without a properly inserted aerator.Very heavy precision feel.... but please note if you do not apply liquid tape dope liberally (ie teflon white liquid) to the course drain pipe threads under the rubber sink washer/brass nut the drain WILL leak... not much, but it will drip from a full sink... I had to redo all three sinks but it's watertight now. Everything else is very simple with good instructions.I ordered three of these Moen Method faucets in the brushed nickel finish. They look and feel great and I have no doubt these are very high quality.My only issue with them is that they really shoot the water straight down out of them. This means that you need to choose where these will be situated with respect to your sink bowl carefully. Mine are sitting about 2 inches back from the sink bowl and this means that I have to reach a little bit in to wash my hands. Not really a big deal but if I had to do it over again I would have drilled the hole in my vanity top closer to the sink bowl so that the spout hung over the sink more than it does now.Hope this helpsI'd give this 5-stars as I have for other Moen products as we love the company and the "support" (5-stars) the company gives. This unit is shipped with all chrome piping which is only needed if you will see the piping. The one problem is the lower pipe screw up into the upper pipe and it needs to be the revers. No matter what I did I could not get this fitting to not leak. I called Moen and they sent me the half and half (half chrome/half plastic) type fitting which fit as I describe. Other than this the rest of this product is 5-stars!!!We buy, fix and rent houses and frequently replace sinks and faucets in the homes we buy. We’ve learned to stick with certain brands because they have consistent hardware, hardware quality is good and the hoses are durable. Moen, and in particular this Moen single hole fsucet, we’ve used over and over. It fits all style homes, it looks good, very durable, easy to install And doesn’t Jam. What’s not to like? The other brand we like to Delta, somehow the morning classes have better style.I was in the position of having to gut/renovate my bath due to black mold. I wanted the bathroom to look nice, but I didn't want to spend a fortune on this renovation. I'm glad that I went with this faucet. The faucet is solidly built, I love that the brushed nickel doesn't show water spots like some of the shinier metals do. I wanted something sleek and modern looking and this is exactly what I had in mind. There were other faucets - but many of them were much much more expensive. I considered some of the less expensive ones, but had concerns about quality. This unit is a nice balance of style, quality and price.Beautiful and functional. Easy u to o clean and use.Beautiful unit especially for the price, fast delivery.
