Installed very easily and simply on my 2017 GTI S (no lighting package). Connectors behind both tail lights were plug and play, and it was easy to ground to a factory spot near the driver side tail light. I ran the positive power to the 12v lighter socket that is in the hatch on the passenger side with the included wire and fuse since that panel was pulled back anyway. Checked it all after installation, and everything works as it should. Much easier than testing and splicing all sorts of wires, and well worth the $75ish cost.
