I LOVE these things.These replaced an adjustable dumbbell set I had and sold a two years ago during bad financial time. It was similar to the bowlfex ones, in that you could set the weight and it would pick up only the amount you chose. Despite the fact I have to manually add and remove weight, these adjustable dumbbells far exceed my previous ones!For starters, everything feels quality. From the plates to the handles. Nothing about it feels cheap. For the price I paid (which has since gone up), it is one unbelievable deal. I would *still* buy at its current increased price over some of the other listed options.I'd recommend something like this over an adjustable set like Bowflex SelecTech. Having reusable plate weights is always a plus. I personally do a few workouts that require just a plate or two without the handles. They have a lot of uses.I have experienced no negatives in my couple of weeks of use. They've stayed tight, and show no signs of wear and tear (yet).While the handles *are* a tad long, this can't be considered a con. You can't use the full 100LB weight on one dumbbell without a handle this long. I do farmer walks using the full 200LBs weight, and I'd been extremely disappointed if I had to buy longer handles to support the weight listed. Buy shorter handles. They are cheap, and just one of the many accessories any serious lifter is going to have.I recommended these to a friend immediately when I got them, but by then they sold out before he could buy. He has since bought them at the new price. Get them before they go up. Believe me, they're worth it.
