Pretty much anything I need to do inch-pound torque settings on smaller fasteners. No more guessing or over-torquing with a conventional inch-pound torque wrench. My only observation is that it takes a fair amount of force to use the upper end of the torque range. So if you consistently need 50 inch lbs and over, the pistol-grip version will give you a lot more leverage. Otherwise, well designed and well-built.
