I BOUGHT THE SET FOR THE DESIGNAND I LOVE IT.soft material, covered by fancy paint, bought two sets, slippery when wet, so falls out of hand, and hits the sink, and chips, tried to be carful after reading reviews, but could not s top three large chips in one week, just made of the wrong stuff. do not buy.Bought these dishes for my daughter's first apartment, and she loves them. I recently visited her and got to see them first hand.Very poor quality. Chipped multiple places after 1 month of regular use!! Terrible costumer service. Would not replace or return item when owned less than 90 days!! Don't buy. Waste of money.love it!!!Plates have lasted for years, but not without lots of chipping. The chips stand out horribly, especially in the black areas, because the dishes are all white underneath the design. Both plate sizes are great, bowls are too. I never cared for how the mugs felt in my hand, so I gave those away awhile back.
