I put a brand new small block chevy into a project car and it had a knock off set of finned valve covers. Well after starting the motor for the first time I heard a noise from the top end. it was the rocker arms hittting the side of the valve cover. Now the valve train is all factory GM stuff, nothing oversized or custom. The Chinese made knock offs were just cast too narrow. I replaced them with these Edelbrock ones and once again realized you get what you pay for. They are so much better than the ones I took off in both appearance and function. Edelbrock for the win.
