Just so other prospective buyers know, this bag is not fully padded. The bottom is partially padded up to a plastic plate that houses the wheels. The sides are padded, but not the top. It is also a fairly shallow bag, measuring only about 4" deep. I am returning it due to the lack of fully padded protection. Wouldn't recommend for air travel unless your thinking of adding a layer of padding of your own to the top. Tie down straps on the inside are a nice feature and the overall bag is decent, but just wish it was fully padded.
