It's not often that this three-in-one binding is made available, so if you see it, grab it. I received this product in the promised condition at the promised time. The fact that it's three Harlan Coben novels is enough to recommend it.The first two, "Back Spin" and "One False Move", are Myron Bolitar mysteries. You won't look at women's basketball or golf the same way after reading these. (And if you live in the West Orange/Livingston/Short Hills towns of New Jersey, you might learn a little about your local history.) What I find enjoyable is the progress of the background stories, particularly Win Lockwood III's family history and how it contributed to his, err, development. While the Mafia characters are fairly standard (but effective), and the technological aspects are dated (but people still read Raymond Chandler, don't they?), the essentials of human behavior are unique from character to character, yet credible.The third novel, "No Second Chance", features reconstructive surgeon Marc Seidman--who's not in the plastic surgery business for the big bucks to be made from rich people desperate to improve their looks. Most of the work he does (along with his partner, Zia) is for more noble and desperate causes--poor people around the world with horrible disfigurements. And then, suddenly, something horrible and disfiguring happens to Dr. Seidman's family, resulting in the death of his wife, the kidnapping of his daughter, and his own near-fatal wounding. "No Second Chance" while it has its mysterious complexities, comes off (to me, at least) more of a thriller. And while I am biased toward Myron Bolitar, Dr. Seidman is just as sympathetic, if a little drier.Three fantastic Coben novels and one low price in one book. There's nothing mysterious about this bargain!
