We looked around a lot for a shower system that was reasonably priced but not a complete piece of junk. We were first going to go with the Moen system, but by the time you bought the trim and valves it was well over $1,000, so we decided against it. We found the Alsons faucet instead and thought it was a good alternative for less than half the cost. It came the other day and is very nice. The faucet is dark brown/black with lighter accents throughout. We bought the Moen Brantford shower trim to match. The wand part snaps into place very snug and seems to stay put well. We haven't installed it yet, so I will write an updated review if we have any problems with that, but so far we feel like we made the right choice for the price.UPDATE: We finally started using the faucet and the bottom of it leaks. It still works pretty well, but kind of disappointing that it doesn't work as intended. I guess you get what you pay for.
