I have several Thule bags...this one does not disappoint. It's sturdy, durable, and has a nice fit. It sits high, and has slightly curved shoulder straps (I'm 5'5). What mattered most to me was a bright color (for biking), padded laptop bag, and a bag that would fit a 32oz water bottle. You can see in the photos that this bag fits a 15 in laptop with room to spare, and snuggly holds the 32oz bottle. Not sure I'd use this for hiking, as it's pretty thick and has the laptop pad, but others might. I put it next to a Thule Aion 28L for comparison. Both bags are great and will work well for their intended purposes.
