La Blanca Women's Standard Plunge One Piece Swimsuit - Sexy Tummy Control Bathing Suit for Women, Perfect for Beach Vacations & Pool Parties

I swim a lot, so I have to buy a new bathing suit often. My daughter, who is religious and wears a sort of burka swimsuit, was appalled that I, an 80-year-old woman she said, would have such a revealing outfit. I pointed out that I'm 74 years, not 80!The bathing is SEXY even comfortable when swimming the butterfly, my preferred stroke.I’m 5’2, 150lbs, 38DD. I liked the pattern/look of this bathing suit (which prior to having my daughter, I haven’t worn a 1 piece since I was a kid), but now I have a mix of a Mom & recently added stress belly that I didn’t used to have. I was hopeful that this suit could not only make me feel better about myself with my new-ish weight gain, but also look stylish when wearing it. Well it didn’t completely make me feel good, my midsection still looked basically the same as without the suit on. It didn’t really offer much in the way of tummy control & did not camouflage my extra weight, but seemed to highlight it. It did make my chest look really good (though it was a bit tight fitting in the chest). Overall, if your hoping for a suit that has tummy control that sucks you in, & you are self-conscious about your Mom belly, this isn’t likely the suit for you. I personally feel like if I drop at least about 15 or more pounds, I think I’d like this one. For now, it’s a “no” for me & will be going back. I’ll probably give it a try again once I lose weight/get in shape.The fit of this swimsuit fit nicely- exactly what I was looking for. I did go 2 sizes up (which I typically do with all one-piece bathing suits, otherwise they are often too short in the torso)- very flattering. And I love the highly adjustable straps. The problem with this suit- and why I’m ultimately returning it- is that the white lining at the top that holds in the breast pads is impossible to keep on the inside, meaning that the lining is showing5. And it being a navy bathing suit with a white lining that doesn’t work. However, due to the fit I will try other La Blanca swimsuits.For reference I am 5’6.5” and typically wear a size 4 and I ordered a size 8, which fit wonderfully.From the front, this suit looks amazing on me. However, from the side of looks as though I haven’t got any cheese at all. It Flaten’s them down like a sports bra. Still, I do love the suit and feel fully covered while relaxed in it.The bathing suit is very cute. Sexy yet conservative as a one piece. The detail under the bust is flattering. I like how it makes my boobs look without having to be a halter. It’s hard to find a flattering one piece with bra like straps but that is helpful for tan lines. The cups are lightly padded. Not to help lift but just to hide when you’re cold. It’s a little high cut On the thighs for my personal taste but I liked enough of the rest of the fit to keep it. When it’s wet I’m able to tug it down a bit to my comfort. The back detail is cute as well. I have a long torso and definitely needed to size up- I actually went up 2. I’m 5’5” and 118lbs, 32D for reference but I’m all torso so one pieces are hard. I usually wear S/4 in one piece but ended up keeping the 8 after trying on the 6 too. The adjustable straps were helpful. I’ve chased my kids around in this and everything stayed in place. I’m not sure about tummy control? It feels like a regular bathing suit in that respect so don’t expect magic. Overall I definitely like it. It’s confusing as to why different sizes are difference prices but I got this for 80$ and feel it’s worth the price.Fabric is nice and it fits fine. I ordered a Medium and I feel like the bottom part is a bit small.It’s a nice bathing suit but not worth what it costs.I like La Blanca suits because they're typically super flattering, but this one was a miss for me. There's no molded cups or underwire, just some flimsy pads and no support. The upper half is a thick textured fabric and all the metal accents are gold tone.Because this suit is reversible, the pads are not removable or accessible and there is no support or shaping of the breast area AT ALL.The torso on this is a bit short. I had to pull the halter almost up to my shoulders to have it give me enough coverage. And as a 36DDD, I wish it had more support in general. If the straps across the back were a little higher, it would've helped. Perhaps a smaller size would help, but then I thought it would be way too short in general. In the end the suit itself was pretty, but I had to return it.Los colores son mas brillantes que los que aparecen en la imagen, aún así me gustó mucho.
