I got my knifes, came in a box. they are very sharp. I did not need to sharpen any one of them. I have had for about a month now. Still as sharp as first day. I use my knifes cutting fruits, vegetables, some meat like pork chop, ham steak. I love the size how it fits in my hand. It not heavy it is light in weight. the steel runs all threw the knife, It is one piece. i love how it fits in my hand. I have Zwilling J.A. Henckels knifes, paid a higher price, I wanted to buy good Pairing Knifes that i did not need to sharpen every time i used it. I am glad i did , I use my knifes every day. I cook 2 to 3 meals a day seven days a week. I have used the cheap one you get at Walmart for $10.00 . My kids are grown and gone. I wanted to get good pairing knifes. I hang up my pairing knifes up with my Zwilling J.A. Henckels, I do not put them in dishwater/or a dish washer. I never have never will.I hand clean all my knifes. If you are looking for good knifes to cut slice vegetables/fruits, are not heavy, dull than i think you will love these knifes as i do. Yes they are light weight, but they cut a tomato so smooth, clean with out hurting the tomatoes. I really do like that, does a great job in cutting/slicing. Yes i would tell my best friend to get her a set. i had my knifes for a month, I still love them. Yes i would buy again.WÜSTHOF Gourmet Three Pairing Knifes Set is the Original Made in Germany Knife Set of an Excellent Quality sold by Bakers EZ. These are everything I was hoping for. I bought this knife set to add to my kitchen knifes used on daily bases. These are very good knifes for every day use for a very reasonable price of $39.95. I got WÜSTHOF Gourmet 3 Inch Paring Knife and Kitchen Shears Set Model 8758, used it for over 6 years on daily bases (they are still like new) and love them. I also bought a set of WÜSTHOF Classic knifes in a block set but hate to use them every day. This set will make an outstanding present to a family member or a friend. Thank you Bakers EZ.My son, who just graduated from college several months ago got these as a Christmas present. Why? He loves to cook, and these are the most used knives of any in my kitchen, so I bought him good ones. Any cheap walmart or generic knife set would do the job, at least for a while. But as those of us who work with our hands can tell you there is an intangible joy to using quality tools that is very difficult to quantify. The balance, the weighting, the quality of manufacture all weigh in this personal decision. But in the end the effort put into producing something as simple as a knife can elevate the experience from mundane to something more. Knives are a pretty well understood manufactured item these days and they are not that hard to do, but doing anything well demands effort, effort that can be felt by those who are sensitive enough to understand what it took to elevate something mundane to something special. Quality is seldom cheap, but it often is in the long run worth it to pay for real quality over sizzle and marketing. Perhaps, when I am gone my son will recall fun times we shared in the kitchen when he was a small boy when he uses these knives, it gives me pleasure to think so. God Bless ya!Fabulous sharp knives. My last set of these were plastic handled "introductory" Wustof knives carried by Marshalls so you could try them out before investing in the real thing. Those lasted me for over 10 years. With rough treatment they finally wore dull. These replaced the old ones with a big step up for the nice handles. Very sharp, use with care. Delighted. Gave these to my mom whose "intro" set I'd given her and when they wore out she asked for another. She never asks for anything. I was delighted to find these on Amazon. She is also very happy with her knife set.I have single paring knives that I've paid more for than this set of three. They are razor sharp and seem to have excellent edge retention. They are also very comfortable to use. Unlike a lot of the other three knife sets, Henkels for instance, you are going to want to keep good care of these. As an added bonus, I now know what a lot of my friends and family are getting for Christmas next year.I understand that I sacrifice some sharpness with stainless steel, but I am disappointed. Right out of the box, it is maybe just a bit sharper than the old pairing knife from Mom that I have been using for 25 years and never sharpened. Maybe because it is "laser cut"?Otherwise, feels good in the hand and easy to use.Sharp, but these are not the, "real" professional-grade knives. Blades are noticeably thinner. Durability remains to be seen.them. Gavecthjs set to a few friends as gifts and they loved them so much, I bought myself set. This is high quality and offers what is needes for that hotel snack.Own a massive collection of wusthof classics which are in daily use as the tools of my trade as a professional chef.Purchased these to replace my classic turning knife which I believe found its way into the pile of Brussels sprout peelings last Christmas and this set is the same price as the single classic turning knife.Very good quality as are all Wusthofs however I do notice a difference in their weight. Any amateur or novice cook would be more than happy with these in their collection and they will last you years if kept well. As from a professional standpoint? Well I use them daily and wouldn't if they didn't do the job; I perhaps would not rely on the Gourmet range for the more specialist knives but for paring, trimming, halving...They're a good quality, sharp knife and pleased I bought this set as opposed to the single Classic.Really good quality, sharp knives. Nice comfortable handle makes them easy to use. Very happy with purchaseExcellent qualityit's of the cheap series of wusthof, but still does the job well and worth the money.Great to hold and super sharp. Top quality knifes.
