Description

The Swing Board is not one, not two, but three cutting boards in one. A single cutting station, with a swing, expands to counter-sized. Meat and veggies, fish and fruit – cut all parts of a meal simultaneously without worrying about cross-contamination. Deep runoff ridges and a gap in the middle keep the cutting boards separate. Working on something bigger like a turkey? A simple slide brings the boards together to give you a single massive surface. Slicers, measurers, and even waste disposal trays all come as add-ons that slip in, slip on, then slide right in the dishwasher for easy cleaning. A professional kitchen’s prep station – made portable for your home.

Features

INCLUDES: The Swing Board is made of (2) detachable thick wooden cutting boards, (1) 1-cup measuring cup, (1) mandoline slicer,(1) food holder and (1) collection tray. *all parts separate for easy washing*

SWING OPEN AND CLOSED: Need extra cutting space? This fully functional board doubles in size with a simple swing. When finished, swing closed to store. Designed to fit unused spaces beside fridges, pantries, or shelves.

CUT SMARTER: Cut, measure, and clean without dirtying knives or dishes. Mandolin add-on slices with simple back-and-forth motion. Extra-strong legs hold the board high, so ingredients fall into swappable trays that measure as you cut and clean as you cook.

LARGE ADJUSTABLE STATION: Every cutting need, one purchase. Meats or veggies. Fish or fruit. Prep without cross-contamination, all at once. A ring around the edge stops spill-over. A gap keeps 2 surfaces separate. A slide brings boards together so big items get 1 counter-sized space.

FINEST ACACIA WOOD: Strong and sleek, acacia resists odors and stains. Even better, it cleans easy. Anti-slide rubber-feet hold the board firmly so you can apply extra-torque against the extra-durable wood.

Swing Board - Expandable and Detachable Cutting Board Set with Add-Ons (6 pieces, acacia wood)This is one interesting and different cutting board than I’ve seen. I love how it folds in on itself for space saving storage. It is a beautiful board and made from acacia wood to last forever. It is a very strong wood and will stand up to punishment and look great for a long time with a bit of care.It has even more special features than just the nice wood. There is a built in slicer with a catch bin. It also comes the the “hat” to aid in slicing veggies. It can operate as two separate boards or one big board. It also has legs to raise it above the table for a better angle while you’re standing. It really is a very special board and I love it and do recommend it.I was so excited to get this cutting board. It is quite beautiful in person. I mainly wanted it because I have limited storage in my kitchen and I figured this could just lay flat but serve multiple purposes. Unfortunately, this does not lay very flat because when you move the bars to "flatten" there is still a gap. I currently have this hanging out in a very odd spot but I have had to remove the mandolin since my daughter can reach it and I don't want her to cut herself. I do think that if I had more space, that would obviously be a non-issue for me.Besides that, I like that it has the built in mandolin, albeit with a somewhat small food catcher. I think it's the size it is because otherwise it would stick out too much and it has to be level with the cutting board. I'm personally a little petrified of mandolins but having this built in and also flat (where nothing is sliding) is awesome. I'm a little less worried of getting cut with this.I've used mineral oil to keep this looking nice and new. This feels fairly sturdy but it's not exactly the highest quality of boards I've seen. I do think this would make for a nice gift, but just make sure you include a gift receipt in case it's too big for someone's kitchen.Okay so a swing board is an interesting idea right? It implies flexibility and easy storage, so let's have a look.Appearance: It looks nice and uniform, a warm cherry wood on the picture but it's actually acacia and cherry, it's a lot lighter and more inconsistent in person. It's wood though so most who appreciate actual wood would like this. The plastic doesn't feel or look substantial, so when I was adding the mandolin, I became worried about breaking it. I didn't. I am not a fan of the fold holder, mandolin slicer collection tray set-up because for a device that is designed for easy storage, there is no easy place to store these added accessory. They're going in a drawer to only be remembered to be taken out when others remember they are there. The collection tray is the most handy but too small for a lot of uses.Storage: I already touched a bit on storage, but sticking to the cutting board part of the equation. When you are using one side of it, it feels too big. When you want to use both sides it feels a little.. cumbersome, and there are essentially no great instructions on how to make it one piece, but trial and error right. The feet back this thing require a lot of space. This is not something you will want in a small kitchen. even though you can fold it in half, it winds up taking the space more akin to a pot with a handle, due to width and length.Utility: If you've got the space and keep the accessories handy, I suspect some individuals will love that it can feel like a one stop solution. It also looks like a nice gift. I mean it's all there for a beginner, and it is wood so it has that didn't get the cheapest bamboo offering you could find option thing going for it. The issue is, I think those who spend a lot and frequent time in the kitchen aren't really going to save space and find dragging it out a bit more cumbersome than a smaller cutting board you can kind of toss to the side and not worry about as you move onto the next step approach.Huge plus: There a lot of cutting boards out there that offer these juice channels that are not deep enough, not wide enough and give you fall sense of this will help me and then fail. This is not the case with this board. It's deep enough and wide enough to actually handle something juicy instead of just sort of collecting some juices. I would want a smaller more simple board with this kind of channel... yesterday.Overall: When it comes to something like this, whomever cooking is going to have preferences, and while I do love my kitchen gadgets on occasion, the biggest knock against this product is it feels a lot more geared towards the gadget group than it does the utility, just crush your garlic and slice it with a knife group. This "Swing Board - Expandable and Detachable Cutting Board Set with Add-Ons (6 pieces, cherry wood)" is great!
