Vera Bradley is usually my go-to for quality-made travel bags, and this backpack is no exception. I purchased the black bandana medallion pattern, which is just gorgeous but also subtle. I am not in school but I used this bag for international travel. It fit perfectly underneath the airplane seat. The straps are very comfortable and I wore this backpack while hiking around for hours without any discomfort. Another nice feature is the trolley sleeve in the back, so it fits on top of your rolling luggage.The main caveats are that the laptop compartment in the back fits a 15 inch laptop, but my work laptop is a 17 inch so it fits in the front-most pocket which is actually a larger pocket. This doesn't bother me that much however. After my travels, the bag did get a bit dingy on the white color, so I threw it in the washing machine on delicate cycle (inside of a mesh bag) and then hung it to air dry. There were no issues after washing it and it is very clean again!In terms of capacity and organization, the front zipper pockets are very useful for keeping smaller items like charging cables, tissues, etc. It also has two water bottle pockets on the sides. It is a very roomy yet feminine bag without looking like a giant rucksack.
