The chair is much darker than it appears on the picture. It is very close to black in color. Also the quality of the chair is poor and we had to redrill holes to get the chair together. Not sure how sturdy it will be.Staining quality is poor and not even.Have purchased other similar chairs for 1/2 the cost at big box stores for much better color and quality.
