The Santoku is just the right size and has replaced my chef's knife in every day cooking. It's very sharp and has perfect balance and weight. I love the grip! The paring knife is also very sharp and is actually too sharp to use it for peeling fruit/potatoes as the risk of cutting yourself is very large (I kept my old paring knife for that).
